Why is Temping A Good Idea?   

You could be going to school, taking care of personal matters, searching for a full-time job or you could have made a change in your lifestyle.  Temping offers you a variety of challenging assignments, flexible work schedules, access to major law firms and the exposure to job options before making a full-time commitment.   

How long and frequent are the assignments?   

Assignments vary.  Some assignments last a day or two; others two or three weeks and there are many more that last several months.  The more flexible you are, the easier it is to keep you busy.

What types of jobs are available for temporary employees?

The temp team is made up of legal secretaries, paralegals, word processors, file clerks, support service clerks and receptionists.  

How will I know if I’m doing a good job?   

We remain in contact with you and our client throughout each assignment.   All comments are discussed with you immediately.  

Will you help me look for a direct-hire job?  

Absolutely!  Clients are always told when a temporary employee is looking for a full-time job.  Many members of the temporary team are offered full-time positions.  In addition, our recruiters will keep you informed and consider you for all direct hire positions.   

 

Who Temps? One of our best word processors is an actor.  The flexibility of temping fits in with his career plans.  He is absolutely wonderful in both jobs!   Two of our temporary legal secretaries job-shared for three years while they earned their Bachelor degrees.  One worked Tuesday and Thursday; the other Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  They had terrific skills and made it work. A legal secretary with a new baby wanted to work one day a week.  A busy client had a staff member who wanted to work four days a week.  We proposed a solution and it was a perfect fit.   A candidate wanted to sample firms before deciding on a full-time job.  He worked assignments at three firms and received job offers from all of them. A paralegal did a lot of traveling with his spouse who was an executive at a major corporation.  Temporary project work was the perfect solution for their lifestyle.
