  Sr. Legal Secretary - Construction Litigation  new

Boutique litigation firm with headquarters in Irvine and additional offices in Downtown LA, Oakland, and Phoenix is seeking a construction litigation secretary with at least 15 years experience, capable of working on complex construction, surety and business litigation matters with one partner and three associates.

Prepare memoranda, letter opinions, proposals and correspondence.  Prepare pleadings for filing and service in all state, federal or district courts  Calendar, schedule appointments, and make travel arrangements.  Review and route incoming correspondence, pleadings, discovery and other legal materials.  Create and maintain legal files.

Requires:
Thorough knowledge of litigation process
• Mastery of Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities in Microsoft Word
• Substantial experience in trial preparation
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person and in writing
• Minimum 15 years of solid and directly relevant legal secretarial experience
• Proven proficiency in, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel); Vision CompuLaw (or other legal calendaring software); Adobe DC Pro; Citrix ShareFile (or other FTP utilities); and Zoom

   Legal Secretary/Paralegal - Business Litigation new

One of OC’s finest law firms is looking for a business litigation secretary or paralegal who consistently delivers a high-quality work product. This skilled A-player will be rewarded with compensation that ranks in the top 3% of the market.

Provide partner-level support to attorneys practicing complex business litigation.  Create, edit, and proofread pleadings, discovery, memos, correspondence, and pre-trial documents.  Ensure deadlines are met and court documents filed in a timely manner.  Manage multiple calendars, anticipating and resolving scheduling issues.  Interact professionally and confidentially with attorneys, staff, clients, vendors, and visitors.  Work with a sense of urgency knowing that success is inevitable

Requires:
• 10 years' experience supporting business litigation attorneys in a major law firm.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program
• Results oriented, with a proactive workstyle, requiring minimal supervision
• Excellent research, writing and problem-solving skills

  Legal Receptionist (Candidate hired!)

Looking for a Receptionist who can convey the word “Welcome.” This is an important first-impression position. The work is diverse and requires a person who is discrete and dependable with administrative experience and MS Word typing skills.

Greet visitors, answer and route phone calls, schedule appointments, and distribute mail. Open and close case files, scan documents, assist with credit card transactions and perform light typing tasks. Prefer someone with two years’ experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant in a law firm or professional office environment.

Hours are 8:30 - 5:30 with an hour lunch. Salary is $15-20/hr., depending on skills and experience. Benefits include paid health insurance.
